A simple old fashioned Irish pub. Caters for locals left behind in the gentrification of the area. If you come here on a Sunday when the Gaelic games are on, the atmosphere can be electric. The food is traditional pub fayre, unlike the gastro offerings down the road at the Salusbury, here scampi and chips are still king not rocket and goats cheese.
They also run a very popular salsa class and club here upstairs every Thursday night. Look out for the woman doing a great impression of Liz Macdonald off Corrie (mutton dressed up as lamb) with her boyfriend who is at least 15 years younger smooch on the dancefloor all night long and I mean all night long!
