Charming and intimate the Brooks Blues Bar is a lovely place to listen to great blues music. Its a magical place with an audience that knows its music, the bar comes complete with candle-lit tables and great beer.

Following a change of management by Youngs Brewery at The Brook Green Hotel, Brooks Blues Bar moved to The Telegraph on Putney Heath on 12th January 2007 where it has continued to provide the highest standard of British & international acoustic blues artists. Please see website www.brooksbluesbar.co.uk.

what has happened to the blues club - is the venue still going?I hope you''re not getting rid of a really good live venue - there are so few good places to hear music - this is one of them and I don''t mind travelling from where I live in East London to visit the venue. If gigs like this close then the small bands will never get a chance to play live - I realise that tody''s generation who have grown up listening to manufactured music may have very little appreciation for live music but there are still some of us left who remember the live gigs featuring bands just starting out: eg: Rolling Stones and Beatles back in 60''s - where would they be now if they hadn''t been able to play live???

Great place, excellent atmosphere, good choice of music, and the best burger & chips in London.
