I have eaten at Alounak many times and I love the food and service there. I also read Rino's review. I think he has something against this restaurant or perhaps he means somewhere else.The meat at Alounak is always fresh and elegantly marinated. I have taken friends of different nationalities to Alounak and they have all loved it.

I finally visited this place tonight and thought that the 3 kabob plates were excellent (lamb and chicken). The grilled/mashed aubergine appetizer was great, a nice different take on babaganoush. I've had better yoghurt drinks (dough) and rose water/saffron ice cream, but my friends thought that it was good. The service wasn't the best, they were a bit too eager to take things off our table before we were done eating/drinking.

Whoever left the other review is crazy. Alounak is great, and constantly busy to prove. not the cheapest persian food around, but very good. the one on westbourne grove is good too, and a bit more relaxed.

Ate in this resturant today. It was very bad; waste of money.Terrible off tasting meat. Everything was very low quality including all food and service. Very disapointing.
