When I lived on the Isle of Dogs I was always at New Kwun Wah!

When I have moved away to Stratford, I still thought it is worth doing the 8 mile round journey once a week.

I have tried quite a few places in London and I most definitely think that this is the best Chinese Takeaway in London!!

Their dishes are just perfect... never too oily... never too salty.

Price-wise it is about average for East London.

If you do not feel like Chinese all of the time... they also do fish and chips. They will even make tea and coffee!

I tend to go about 10pm...as it can be quite busy earlier in the evening with personal callers and delivery requests.

It's ok for a quick takeaway if your expectations aren't too high with regard to appearances-the shop is quite old now and hasn't been refurbed in quite some time. That said, you don't visit it for the appearance of the shop! The food is always hot, on time and is pretty much most of the time tasty without being too salty or oily. I do use this take away quite often as this is the only decent Chinese takeaway left on the Isle Of Dogs.
