Oh, when are they going to change the menu here? When are the staff going to realise people go out to eat for other reasons that the waiters' benefit and don't want to feel rushed when the staff decide it's time they went home, or out, or whatever they do when the place shuts? And when are the staff going to realise that people can pour their own wine and don't necessarily want to feel rushed on to the second bottle? We've been using the place (because it's so convenient to walk to along the river) since 2001 and it's hardly changed in all these years. If they could vary the menu (the food is OK) and learn how customers like to be treated (with respect) this could be a little jewel on the south side of the Isle of Dogs - as it is, it's bearable, every now and again - but hardly anything special. Pity.
Food is delicious especially the king prawns. I have been twice, the first time on a Thursday and the staff were very attentive. The second time was a Sunday and it was very different we had to keep trying to get the staffs attention so that we could order our next course. I won't go there on a Sunday again, and they certainly did not deserve the 12% tip that they automatically put on the bill.
"Please have the chicken lettuce wrap to share as a starter, its so filling and fun too. The non-alcoholic cocktails are lovely too. Nice attentive staff, and so far enjoyed both lunches and dinners at this riverside restaurant."
