About Veranda

It’s not easy to get contemporary Indian dining right. Trying to fuse a style of cooking steeped in tradition with all the starkness and simplicity of modern elegance can so often drain a place and kitchen of its colour and character.

But Veranda shows how it can be done. Situated in the lively, scenic heart of Docklands, with views across the marina, Veranda serves Indian cooking in a highly elegant setting. Committed to keeping up the vibrancy and passion that defines cooking from across the sub-continent, Veranda offers a thoughtful, inventive fusion of refined dining and exotic Indian cooking.

Veranda’s celebrated chef Abdul Bari was officially designated as one of Britain’s Master Chefs by the House of Commons in 2000, and his authentic-but-progressive take on Indian cuisine is quickly shaping this restaurant’s reputation as one of East London’s best.

With a special lunch menu available, created specifically for office goers in the area, or a packed lunch option delivered direct to your busy office for 8 or more people, Veranda is the perfect spot to get some quick but well prepared eating, or a much needed break, in the depths of hectic Docklands.

Fast, friendly service, a commitment to good food, all delivered in elegant waterside surroundings or direct to your door – Veranda’s fresh, appetising approach to modern Indian cuisine is a much needed new outlook in the area.

We have been to Veranda several times and have never been disappointed. The service is very good and efficient. The food - fresh, very tasty and a more modern approach to Indian food that your typical high street curry house. You must try one of their seafood dishes - even nicer at an outside table if the sun is shining.

A great dinner on a superb evening. The restaurant is nicely located. We had great food and kind service for a very reasonable price.
