Finally made its back with my wife for diner (she is Thai) and both agreed that the food was very good and with the number of customers that evening must only be getting even better.
Also on that particular occasion those very nice people from a famous London based Thai magazine were doing a presentation and I was intervied and had a photo taken for their next edition...so fame at last.

Lakorn Thai was the first Thai Restaurant in North London which first opered their doors some 25 years ago to big reviews and had many famous visitors including the Rolling Stones,Tina Turner Rod Stewart etc. but their standards had indeed appeared to slip over the last few years.
Now with a new owner Khun "A "who is one of the best known Thai Chefs in London great things are promised so will just have to see what he comes up with.
It is still early days yet but looking forward to my next visit following visits to his other restaurants and would highly reccommend the experience.
Absolutely awful. First they brought me the wrong meal, but when the right one arrived i wished i'd gone with the first option. I ordered rice cooked in a pot with chicken, sausage and mushroom. It was dry boiled rice, plain flabby bits of chicken, barely cooked chunks of mushroom, and the piece de resistance - chopped up frankfurters. Then the whole thing was covered in soy sauce resulting in a ridculously salty experience. my date ordered spicy chilli beef and got scraps of meat dripping in soy sauce and sesame seeds. the meals both cost 8.50 but were not worth 50p. For the love of food - do not go here.
