For once i have to say that it is a breath of fresh air to have this chain-pub in this location, opposite the music venue KOKO, the Crescent offers its drinkers the chance to get in a few well-priced drinks, and some rather rank bottles of wine before hitting the harder prices over the road. The crescent, as such remains popular, the service time, predictably slow and the layout of the place actually quite inviting and comfortable despite being busy. A raised platform sits at the far back of the pub with booths and you would do well to commandeer one of these although the crescent is one of those pubs where you drink, then move on, so a booth can quickly come available. The crowd is more “trendy” when compared with the rest of Camden and more more likened to Euston revellers than goths or punks traditionally associated with the area.
Overall a nice place to have a quick drink but like all other chain pubs it wouldn’t be a place you’d be glad to spend all night - although it does have a little of its own charm its not enough to hold me or a whole crowd in one place all night
Nice pub really liked it, comfortable and stylish, nice touches with the tea lights. The ladies loos could do with more of a clean tho, I can't believe ladies can make so much mess.
This place seems to have got better in recent months, used to have quite an intimidating atmosphere on friday nights for example, they seem to have encouraged these people onto pastures new and lots of new faces have appeared. Great for Koko visitors to get a drink at a good price b4 being fleeced across the road. Friendly and lively at weekends, still good for sport with a couple of plasma'a.And I can get a pint for 2!
Good atmosphere, gets very busy, especially when KOKO's has got something good on. Probably one of the best value pubs in Camden, you can get a pint of carlsberg for under 2! does good enough food, 2 plasma's for sport and stuff.
