Mauritius Bar and Restaurant

I was disappointed, with the service and food quality, at this Mauritius restaurant, when my family and me went for a meal there once. However, I would like to try this restaurant again one day, but I would have to go together with the last reviewer Nish, who seems to know how to get a good service from this restaurtant.

Poor. King prawn dish consisted of 6/7 tiny shrimp, when questioned the waiter justified that they were indeed king prawns. We ordered a prawn and egg dish which had chicken instead of prawns. The highly recommended crab soup had sold out which was surprising considering we were the only customers at 9.30 on a Friday night. We were bought the wrong wine even though we confirmed it was a white chardonny we wanted! The ambiance was zero a huge wide screen tv blared out a tennis match during our entire meal. My girlfriends mussels (another highly recommended dish) were rubbery tasteless and the tiniest I have ever seen. I can only assume the great reviews are written by staff and friends

There is room for great improvement on the quality, presentation and taste of the part of your menu, which I have tried. Disappointing for the price...

Excellent value for money great atmostphere. Great food - Chef of the year. I always go to Mauritius Bar and Restaurant and always enjoy my food prepare by the Award Winning Chef of the Year.Also great music during weekend

Went to Mauritius for a meal and had an excellent time, good food, great atmosphere - the live band and DJ was fab. I have booked to go back for the New Year's eve Dinner and Dance.I fully recommend this Bar and Restaurant.
