It was my first visit to ameoba this weekend, I found it to be such a warm friendly environment i stayed all night. i got there at about 7 and had the best mojito i have ever had (i have had my share)then feeling peckish we shared a huge bowl of really fantastic olives, then a bottle of rose to die for with some really yummy toasted ciabatta, then gin and tonic after gin and tonic!!!! brilliant dj fantastic staff, not to sure i remember leaving but woke up still with money in my wallet asways a shock! go there it wicked. xxx

On entering Amoeba, you realise this is like no other bar in Clifton Village. Its funky, bohemian feel makes you feel warm and ready to try one of their many Belgian beers.I felt daring enough to try a 'Scaldis' (12%!) The staff were very 'in the know' and talked me through their vast range of cocktails (which are on 2 4 1 Sunday - Thursday!)There is a cool garden around the back of the building which by night is glowing with candels.By day Amoeba is a cafe serving home cooked food and 'The best coffee this side of Milan'Weekends provide funky music with resident DJ's and the option of hiring the downstairs area for free.To conclude, I like this bar because it is so unlike the sterile wine bars which seem to be the current trend in the Village.
