Someone has said this this restaurant was expensive-really, where do you normally eat?my wife and I and our 3 year old girl visited in early May and wasn't sure what to expect. However what we got was one of the most relaxing meals we have had in the UK. The owner/chef is an absolutely charming host, he made us so welcome and we felt relaxed straight away. The food was good, we have eaten out a lot in Spain and Portugal and were happy indeed with our meal. We shared the cataplana, a seafood and potato stew which we couldn't finish-only because there was so much of it.The menu was fixed price, you could either choose 2 or 3 courses and we opted for 3 at about 26 per head. This restaurant is truly a little gem in a quiet part of Bristol, the fact that it wasn't packed to over flowing seems to me a travesty. If you want somewhere to eat where you can truly relax, feel welcomed and have a host who genuinely seems to value you, visit this place.
Amazing food, charming chef won us over with his kindness and skill
The portions were scarce and did not taste authentically Portuguese at all. After a waiter spilled tomato sauce on my jacket and blouse, the restaurant refused to take responsibility. Would never return to this eating establishment.
