" Ahh, the Watershed! How lucky we are to have it, this mecca of all things left-field, artistic, cultural, digital, authentic, hard grafted, inspired, classic, new age and Bristolian. The Watershed centre has gained a fantastic reputation across the UK and has a very special place in the heart of many locals. There's not really a better way to spend a rainy Saturday than to catch a film in the comfy little cinema and see the evening through in the uber-hip bar. A wide range of people of different callings and tastes come to the Watershed, whether to watch films, enjoy comedy, attend courses or meet people-in-the-know in the digital cafe. The Bar area is reflective of this, a high-ceilinged, polished but unpretentious space for people to relax in and communicate and has over the course of its short history, which included a major refit a couple of years ago, become one of the most popular places to drink in the City. Not surprising really, considering their extensive range of organic and Fairtrade beers, fantastic wines, and good stock of spirits. Their food is of the highest quality, and is reasonably priced too, so it?s a good place to go mid-shopping. They have an excellent music policy too ? from gentle jazz, to Americana to hip-hop ? all played at a volume that won?t have you shouting to your neighbour. We can?t recommend it highly enough."
