What a fantastic pub, the quiz nights are essential to participate in. In general an extremely friendly atmosphere and the best carling you'll ever taste, guaranteed!

Lovely family atmosphere. Friendly and fun staff, Everyone in the pub mixes well and welcomes new customers. Always enjoy the Saturday karaoke. A real fun atmosphere. great quiz night on Tuesdays.

I love this place! A proper, unpretentious pub, really friendly locals and staff, it's got pool tables, juke box, quiz night (with loads of friendly banter) and is quite possibly the only pub outside the lake district to serve cumberland ale.
