I have only ever visited this place for a lunchtime bite so can't comment on its extensive evening menu. However, the lunchtime menu is really good. The salads are fresh and combine very well with the tandoori chicken which is cooked to order - so has not been sitting around for hours. The spicing is delicate and the accompanying sauces work well. They do a selction of hot wraps which make a welcome alternative to the traditional sandwich. There are noodle soups, which can be tailored to your own particular taste. For those who want a more substantial lunch, there is a set two course deal which i have never had but would have tried if I did not have to stay awake and work through the afternoon!

Decor is modern with a Nepalese flavour. Staff are a little reserved but very helpful. Definitely worth a try.

Let me just say, I have been eating at this restaurant for the last 18 months through recommendation, and there are 4 or 5 good restaurants in and around the city centre (rajdoot, itihaas, milans, Aashas) but none of them serve better food than jojolappas...it really is a hidden gem. From the name you wouldnt notice it is an indian restaurant(although its nepalese, but food is very much the same as indian) when walking past, which may not entice walkers by for a curry. If they do some re-branding to show highlight the indian ethnicity menu available they would do really well and have the place booked every night.
I feel like an ambassador...when everyone asks where to go for a good curry I mention Jojolappa...you cant go wrong. And btw as they dont open on Sundays, you can book the whole restauarant for a private family function, all you do is pay for the food and drinks not the place (holds approx 100 people)
Go out and enjoy this place as I have...their starter platter is to die for.

As an Indian I get picky about Indian food but hey I have found the prefect restaurant finally. I've been to Asha's, Ithiaas, Milan's, Rajdoot but not one of them come close to Jojolapa's. Everything's perfect at Jojolapa's - Perfect service, fabulous music and most of all the the food is to die for! I have introduced my friends and they love it! Thank you for beautiful, tasty food, finally a chef who understands flavours!

By far the best food i have enjoyed in a long time! I travel all over the UK and I can't stop thinking about the Makhani chicken. And a Peshawari nan. Also the chilli chick is the best!
