Went last night - loved the atmosphere but did not sit at the sushi counter. The set menu seems a really good deal but it's a lot of food so we decided on a 8 platter sushi which was perfect starter for 2 and my boyfriend had the fillet of beef teriyaki with tempura veg and I ordered the salted chilli seabass. Disappointed that rice and noodles were charge extra but prices were still reasonable.
Both our mains were delicious and beautifully presented. They bring you the whole fish but slice of the fish meal and cook in tempura style. Loved it. Service was great and we will return.
Lets get this straight - I bloody hate sushi! Why would I want to eat a crab stick with egg? Anyway - went to Sakura with a mate who does like it. I was worried that it wouldn't cater for seafood dodgers like myself but was pleasantly suprised that it did provide none seasfood based dishes. I had the Mongolian Fillet Beef which was beautifully tender and in a rich, sweet sauce.
Japanese lagers on offer - so opted for Asahi. Finished off with a warm saki.
Very nice ambience. - Gets reasonably busy but isn't noisy and cramped like some places get. Also one of the waitresses was really hot. We tried to work out her ethnicity. My pal reckoned on Korean, I thought Malay - even though she was a lot taller than most people from these regions. Turned out she was Mexican. You can't win them all!

Have been to Sakura about 8 times in the past 18 months - simply put, its top class sushi! Not the cheapest place in town, but service has never been less than excellent, food is absolutely mouthwatering, fresh, and delicious. Sushi Bar is great fun with a bunch of friends and staff are always happy to cater for any special requests if you dont see your fave sushi on the bar.

I would visit sakura on average about 5-6 times a month. I find the staff friendly and welcoming upon each visit. The food is serviced fresh and prompt. The staff are extremely helpful and happy to advise of new meals within the restaurant. Most of all the staff never forget your face and they give you a warm welcome every time you visit.
