Having read the reviews wasnt sure what to expect - all I can say is that if any of the previous was true, something was seriously wrong and it has now been rectified! Have eaten recently a few times and the food is excellent, affordable and very promptly served. The staff are friendly and attentive. They have a good wine list with premium drinks and cocktails list. They have also invested money in refurbishment and the place is much warmer, funkier and fresh! All I can say is its not what was described before - at least not now!

Place is a complete hole and when the manager finally arrived to listen to my complaint about the wrong meals which were given to us (and were cold too!) he was arrogantI would recommend everyone to stay WELL AWAY!

been to the bar a few times. the last time i was there with my young daughter, we didn't like the side order that came with our main dish. l asked can we change this and they said yes,but you have to pay extra as it was a extra side order. l was appalled at this and have not been back need the Cardan since. l've been in The Plough and l have to say, they could not have been more helpful to please myself and daughter with our food order,the staff alone were very attentive as is with Robbie Carhoons and Lizzy Drakes.as a paying customer, whom if it wasn't for myself and others going out to eat, we should be listen too. it is, after all, we the public that keep you in your jobs by going out to your restaurants to eat!!!

I don't think i have anything good to say....my only tip to the management would be - train your staff!!

Everything was to be blunt less than average. The staff were very unattentive with no product knowledge, food was a little disappointing.
