Reviews for Lavery's

I heard bad things about Lavery's but when I actually went I loved it. It equals the Limelight in that is has a really laid back atmosphere and everyone's just relaxin at the weekend after a hard week's workin. But while the Limelight attracts mainly students and teenages, Lavery's has people from EVERY group in Belfast and you can get a good chat goin with other drunk randomers lol
I want to go to Radiation again, I hope it's really got goin now!

Lavery's is brilliant! Belfast's oldest family run venue serves fantastic food during the day and provides aural delight and general booze related statisfaction at all other times. A good, honest, fun venue.

Easily one of the most interesting bars in Belfast. A wild array of bars, rooms, and corridors makes this three-bars-in-one venue a great night out. The crowd are an eclectic mix from all corners of Belfast, who have descended upon Lavery’s for good beer, easy-going surroundings and –above all else- great Craic.
Try the back bar for the latest up and coming live bands most nights, or just ‘chillax’ throughout the rest of the place soaking up the atmosphere, chatting with mates or watching sport. Another proper pub with minimal frills and no pretension.

In fact, where does in Belfast? It has a nice chilled atmosphere so I hope that you don't go back, it's better without prats like you.By the way, the food is good compared to most places.

I was in laverys on december 21st with my daughter and a few friends I was not impressed with the service as we were waiting half an hour on drinks and had to eventually go to the bar to get them also the food was not of the best quality either.I do appreciate that christmas is a busy time of year for all hotels bars and restaurants but i cannot understand why the quality of the food served should be any different than any other time of the year. my daughter has rang on several occasions to complain and left messages but as yet no one has bothered to get back to her. I would not recommend Laverys to any of my friends as the service and food was not acceptable

A good range of things for different people here. The basement downstairs at the back is good for hiding from public view, downstairs bar is ok for chilling and they serve some decent food there. The middle bar has a wide range of events, so best to check rather than just turn up randomly. Upstairs the pool bar is good and now they have nearly enough tables so you're not denied a game all night. They turn the back room upstairs into a small function room sometimes - it's actually ok for a bit of craic. It's easy to remember the old days when lav's was for spides only, but now it's any man's bar.
